You drop a little bit, notice there is only a little of test reagent so you drop usually less than the volume of test reagent it can be anything from one to a few drop of oil from syringe. There is a little initial color change for oil, getting darker red later while there is no change for a longer time when you drop raw powder. For oil it takes a few minutes to see better the fluorescence in vial B under UV light; it will be like orange – light brown, while sample in vial A looks like light brown - violet. Sample with raw powder gives blue fluorescence in vial B and brighter blue in vial A. If you get no fluorescence it means there is no hormone. If you get different colors it means that there is something else or your sample is contaminated with other steroids.
Initial colors just after dropping the samples, oil and raw powder.
Oil in vial B under 365 nm UV light
Raw powder in vial B under 365 nm UV light.
Raw powder, both vials A and B under UV light, A will be brighter
